A rare opportunity is now available at Yalumba for Group HR Director to join their team, based in Angaston, on a full-time basis. This is a senior leadership position, on the Executive Board of Management.

The key requirements of this position are as follows:

  • Developing the Yalumba People contribution to the company’s strategic planning so that long-term people needs are identified and accommodated within business planning and management decision-making.
  • Facilitating, in consultation with the EBM, a best practice/benchmarking approach on a national/international basis, when embarking on any significant YPD strategy.
  • Ensuring the company complies with various people-related legislative requirements.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and dynamic HR Executives with extensive experience in a generalist HR position and highly developed skills in organisational development and learning and development practices. You will have a deep understanding of organisational psychology and change management and, as the resident remuneration expert, you will have a strong grasp on rem, market rates, packaging and incentives.

Ideally, you will have a thorough knowledge of employment law, recruitment, workers compensation and payroll functions, however, these are not mandatory providing you bring the aforementioned skill-set. 

Yalumba is looking for a proven leader with high-level influencing skills and the ability to inspire change and command authority, whilst still providing hands-on guidance and support. A big picture thinker you will have commercial acumen and the ability to align HR strategies with commercial outcomes. 

Most importantly, Yalumba is looking for a credible leader who can act as a custodian of the Yalumba values and has a genuine curiosity, sense of fun and passion for what they do.
